Refund approved and still processing; October remains open
Read on 𝕏The author corrects his earlier credit report: a one-time $5,704 refund to the original PayPal payment method was approved, with the prior credit to be reversed. He explicitly says the refund has not arrived and is still processing. The $4,637 October estimate will be reviewed after invoicing on or after October 24. He also explains that a cron ran every two minutes and repeatedly updated a 580,000-row table when the work queue was empty; a once-daily ranking update ran about 373 times a day, writing 10.9 billion rows in a month. He says the offending cron and Worker were deleted on October 6.
