ClaudeBar’s Cloudflare AI provider: Workers AI neurons and overage in the menu bar
The open-source macOS menu bar app ClaudeBar added a Cloudflare AI provider that shows today’s Workers AI neurons against the free daily allocation, an estimated Workers Paid overage, AI Gateway tokens and the last invoice, using a read-only API token.

Key points
- The provider page shows today’s Workers AI neurons against the free 10,000 a day, resetting at 00:00 UTC; it notes that Free stops at 10,000 while Workers Paid charges past it.
- On Workers Paid, the monthly estimate adds each day’s neurons past 10,000 at $0.011 per 1,000 over the calendar month in UTC. The page warns this month is not the subscription billing period, so the estimate can differ from the invoice by a few days’ usage.
- AI Gateway shows tokens and Gateway’s estimate of what upstream providers charge; that money is billed by those providers, not Cloudflare, so it is never counted in the cost. Workers AI tokens are shown for context because Workers AI bills neurons.
- Setup needs an API token with Account Analytics: Read, plus Billing: Read for the plan, overage estimate and invoices. The provider is off by default, and each added account uses only its own token.
